Brooke Pernice was born blind in Blue Springs, MO. Her family moved to Southern California so she could work with an acupuncture doctor, who over the years has helped her gain some light perception. While growing up, she looked to music as a means of inspiration and found that traditional music, country, bluegrass, and gospel, gave her the most enjoyment. Brooke has a strong faith and felt that music was her calling. In 2007, at the age of 12, she worked with local musicians and made her first recording. She started doing shows around town, but that quickly turned into over 75 shows nationwide ranging from schools, churches, and other venues.

In 2009, Brooke started work with John Wooler, producer and label veteran and together they looked to find material for a new album. Brooke went to Nashville and worked with several writers, resulting in songs that were recorded on her new album. These first recordings were done in Dec 2009. The lineup was David Immergluck (Counting Crows) on Guitar and Mandolin, Legendary Larry Taylor (Canned Heat, Tom Waits) on Bass, Rich Mangicaro (Eagles, Glen Fry) on Drums, and Peter Lehr on Keyboards and Vocals. More material was found, and the second and final session took place in Feb 2010, with the same line up as before. This session also featured Bill Hearne, a cult hero from Santa Fe, singing a duet called ''We are Blessed'' as well as his legendary flat picking guitar being a highlight on other parts of the album. The album has 11 songs covering country, bluegrass, gospel, and having a unique sound thanks to the depth and style of Brooke's vocals. The album is scheduled for release in May and tour dates are currently being booked. .

God Bless you all
